Lucas Cherifi has diverse work experience in various technical roles. Lucas is currently the Head of Web Platform at CrowdSec since November 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the CTO at Jimmy Fairly from December 2019 to August 2020, where they managed a team of 9 IT professionals and was a member of the CODIR. Lucas also worked at Le Figaro for several years, serving as the Head of Web Teams for "Figaro Live" and as a Technical Architect/Project Manager for "Figaro Premium". At Le Figaro, they managed technical teams, coordinated and mentored up to 10 individuals, handled multiple projects, and conducted research and development. Lucas was also responsible for managing recruitment, setting up methodologies and standards, and overseeing the development and deployment of various projects within the organization. Additionally, they co-founded UmanSoft and worked as the CTO, developing a talent recruitment tool in Symfony/PHP. Lucas also worked at Prestashop as a Mobile Team Manager, Project Manager, Full Stack Developer, and Trainer. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Engineer at Smile, where they collaborated on the development of high-traffic websites using eZ Publish CMS. Lucas started their professional journey as a Developer at DI Developpement and Izard.fr.
Lucas Cherifi pursued their education at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers from 2006 to 2007, where they completed a Licence in Analyse et Conception des systèmes d'information et de décision, specializing in the field of Analyse-conception. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2006, they attended Lycée Léonard de Vinci, where they obtained a BTS degree in Information de gestion (développement).
