John Millen has held a variety of roles over the past 20 years. In 2000, they began working as a Software Engineer at NI (National Instruments). Two years later, they became a Teacher at C. S. Lewis Hall. In 2003, they joined ACCD+ as a Team Member. In 2006, they took on the role of Youth Pastor at Doxology Church. In 2016, they became Vice Principal at American School Fes. In 2019, they became an Algebra 2 Teacher at the Dallas Independent School District. In 2021, they began selling Oyster Mushrooms at the Richardson Farmers Market. Finally, in 2022, they joined dataX.ai as a Business Development, helping to convert data from suppliers and distributors into any custom format.

John Millen obtained a Master of Education from Concordia University Texas in 2006 and a BA in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin in 2000.
