Courtney Lamie was one of the very first hires at Crosscut Strategies, and now as COO, leads account services.
She has led work with a range of clients at Crosscut, including a multi-state Medicare Advantage primary care provider, a precision oncology platform, a chronic kidney disease innovator, a cybersecurity platform, a clean energy trade organization, and one of the largest telemedicine providers in the nation.
Courtney got her to start working for her home district congressman and tech policy leader, U.S. Rep. Rick Boucher, from 2004 to 2010. Courtney served as Boucher’s press secretary and then communications director during his time as chairman of the Energy and Commerce subcommittees on Energy and Air Quality and Communications, Technology, and the Internet and as a member of the Judiciary Committee. Prior to joining Crosscut, Courtney founded the communications department at the Application Developers Alliance, a non-profit global membership organization dedicated to supporting app developers, where she led national advocacy campaigns on patent reform and privacy working with members that ranged from start-ups to tech giants like Google and Samsung. Before that, Courtney worked in digital, grassroots, and policy communication at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
A native Virginian, Courtney holds a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University.
