Chris Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Chris is currently retired and enjoying new projects and ideas. Previously, they served as the Director and a Founder of Crop Nutrition Laboratory Services (Cropnuts) since 2005. Chris also held roles as the Commercial Director (Plant Health) - EMEA at FMC Corporation from 2020 to 2022, Global Leader - Crop Nutrition at Plant Health; FMC AgSolutions from 2017 to 2022, and Commercial Manager at Headland Agrochemicals (Crop Nutrition) from 2013 to 2016. Prior to that, they were the Head of Business Development at Headland Agrochemicals from 2010 to 2012. Chris also worked at Yara UK as a Business Development Manager from 1998 to 2009, focusing on sales and business strategy development in new markets. Chris started their career at the Commonwealth Development Corporation as a Project Manager/General Manager from 1988 to 1998 and at DFID as a Technical Co-Operation Officer from 1985 to 1988, where they conducted agronomic research and co-authored the UK Government's review of its Agriculture Aid Strategy.
Chris Johnson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Portsmouth, where they studied from 1979 to 1982. Chris then pursued a Master of Science degree in Crop Protection at the University of Reading from 1983 to 1984.
