Lucian Vukelić is the Director of HZZO. He manages and represents the HZZO. The director is appointed and dismissed by the Government of the Republic of Croatia at the proposal of the Minister of Health. The provisions of the Institutions Act shall apply to the term of office, appointment and dismissal of the director of the Institute. Lucian ensures the execution of the provisions of the Law, this Statute, the financial plan and work program of the HZZO, and the general acts of the HZZO, undertakes all legal actions in the name and on behalf of the HZZO, proposes the basics of the Institute's business policy, the financial plan and the work program of the HZZO and makes decisions regarding the operations of the Institute, except for those decided by the Board of HZZO, among other duties.
