Aníbal Brenes Jiménez has a diverse work experience. Aníbal began their career as an Assistant Engineer at LanammeUCR in March 2013, where they worked until July 2014. In January 2015, they joined the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad as a Civil Engineer. Aníbal worked there for five years until February 2020. Following that, they joined the Dirección General de Aviación Civil as a Civil Engineer from March 2018 to February 2020. In February 2020, Aníbal moved to Fiserv, where they worked as a Senior Statistical Analyst until March 2022. Currently, they are working as a Senior Data Scientist at Critical Mass from April 2022.

Aníbal Brenes Jiménez has a strong education background. In 2009, they started their undergraduate studies at the Universidad de Costa Rica, majoring in Civil Engineering. Aníbal successfully completed their degree in 2014. In the same year, Aníbal also attended the Centro Cultural Británico to enhance their English skills, achieving an intermediate to advanced level. Seeking further academic growth, Aníbal pursued a Master's degree in Statistics at the Universidad de Costa Rica from 2015 to 2019.
