Mikko Patokallio is a seasoned professional in mediation and conflict analysis, currently serving as the Senior Manager for Ukraine at CMI — Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation since March 2024, where responsibilities include overseeing the Ukraine portfolio and engaging key stakeholders. Prior to this, Mikko held the position of Mediation Support Officer at OSCE from July 2020 to March 2024, providing strategic advice on mediation processes. Mikko has an extensive background with CMI, previously leading Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) efforts, advising on quality assurance and results-based management, and conducting conflict analysis across various regions. Earlier roles include research assistance at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, along with various positions at CMI focused on the Middle East. Mikko holds a Master's Degree in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science from McGill University.
