Rubén Fernández Gordillo has a wealth of work experience in the tech industry. Starting in 2013 as a freelance software developer, they then moved on to TerraKit as Chief Technology Officer in 2017. That same year, they also joined Universidad de Málaga as an Assistant Researcher and Cartometrics as Chief Technology Officer. In 2018, they took on the role of Head of Engineering and Senior Software Developer at Globatalent and in 2019 they joined microapps sl as a Senior Technical Developer. Most recently, in 2020, they have been working at Criptan as Chief Security Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Tech Lead. Throughout their career, they have developed expertise in programming microcontrollers, Python, C/C++, Node, Big Data, Machine Learning, and Geospatial analysis.

Rubén Fernández Gordillo obtained a Baccalaureate in Technology and Science from I.E.S Miguel de Mañara in 2006-2008. Rubén then studied Microelectronics and obtained a Physic Degree from Universidad de Sevilla in 2008-2013. Finally, they obtained a Degree in Statistics from Universidad de Sevilla in 2014-2017. Additionally, they obtained several certifications from Coursera, including Introduction to Data Science, Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python, The Data Scientist’s Toolbox, and R Programming, between 2014 and 2017.
