David O'Brien is an experienced operations and engineering professional with a robust background in the cement industry. Currently serving as Operations Director at CRH since August 2022, O'Brien has held various leadership roles, including Plant Manager at Irish Cement Limited from June 2015 to October 2022 and Business Change Manager at CRH Europe between May 2014 and June 2015. O'Brien's expertise extends to business process improvement, having led initiatives such as Project Connect while at CRH Europe Materials. Previous positions include Engineering Manager at Irish Cement Limited and Process & Mechanical Lead at Fluor. O'Brien holds an MBA with First Class Honours from Dublin City University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from University College Dublin.
