DIS-TRAN Steel, located in Pineville, LA, is looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team. The Contracts Manager reports to and assists the DIS-TRAN Steel, LLC (“DTS”) Operations Department and the Crest Operations, LLC (“Crest”) Legal Department with all aspects of contract management, including initial drafting, redlining, negotiation, execution, and compliance and administration with a strong focus on risk mitigation and contractual compliance. The Contracts Manager will serve as a dedicated liaison between DTS and Crest to administer and manage all aspects of DTS’s contracting process, including leading the reviews and negotiations of customer-facing agreements. The Contracts Manager will also be responsible for the compilation of complete bid packages by collaborating with the DTS tapered tubular and standard shape product families to ensure commercial compliance. The individual in this role must be adaptable, engaged, and focused on supporting the business’ proposal and project teams as well as external customers. The Contracts Manager must be fully aligned with the industry and operations of the business unit and have a thorough understanding of the corporate guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contracts. Draft, review, negotiate a broad range of customer, subcontractor and vendor agreements by working collaboratively with business and functional teams in a manner that accomplishes the business goals, including optimization of timelines and creating a positive experience for our clients while mitigating corporate risk. Aid DTS management and the Crest legal department in a variety of contracts, including engineering, procurement and construction agreements, master services agreements, professional services agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Help maintain priorities that are set to meet the Proposal Team’s contracting strategies and proposal schedules.

  • Risk and Compliance. Must fully comprehend the company’s strategies on risk with the ability to implement and execute these strategies through best practices and operating standards. Must maintain a good working knowledge of compliance requirements with applicable U.S., state, local and international laws, and regulations.

  • Bid Preparation. Compile a quality bid by reviewing commercial compliance, completing bid forms and documentation, and ensuring a comprehensive bid package that includes accurate details, necessary documentation, and adherence to all specified requirements. Ensuring a timely submission and subsequent follow-up with the relevant parties.

  • Systems. Implements and manages contract management system, processes, procedures and database. Carries out administration of the Crest contract lifecycle management program and assists legal operations with identification and development of contract and related systems.

  • Customer Focus / Building Relationships: Works with DTS leadership and team members to develop long-term relationships for the advancement of its businesses.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or engineering preferred.
  • Experience with contract review and negotiations required.
  • 5+ years’ experience with project contracts, bid preparation, or execution of projects. Project experience and knowledge in the administration of contracts, as well as an understanding of scheduling and project strategy.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management programs a plus.
  • Must have superior analytical and strategic thinking skills, communication ability (verbal and written), organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, manage competing priorities and deadlines, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of issues and matters through their successful conclusion.
