Jennifer Delgreco

Director, Content, Crescent City Schools at Crescent City Schools

Jennifer started her career working for charter schools in Albany, New York where she served as Curriculum Developer and supported schools in their initial years of operation. Additionally, she worked as Special Project Researcher on the “Taxonomy of Effective Teaching Practices,” later published in Teach Like a Champion (Lemov, 2010). Jennifer taught 4th grade math and was the Math Committee Leader at Brighter Choice Charter Elementary School in Albany for 5 years. There, her class surpassed NYS benchmarks and achieved a 100% pass rate of the New York State Assessment of Mathematics in 2009. She shifted her teaching focus to English Language Arts with Uncommon Schools in Troy, NY. There, she had the opportunity to teach ELA to grades 5-7. During her time with Uncommon, she expanded her role to serve as an Instructional Coach on the school’s Leadership Team. At Tubman, Jennifer has taught 6th and 7th grade ELA, and in 2017, 77% of her students passed the ELA iLEAP at Basic and above and 42% at Mastery and above. She currently serves as ELA Director of Curriculum and Instruction for grades 3-8. Jennifer received a B.A. in English with Teacher Certification from the State University of New York at Brockport and a M.S. Ed in Professional Teacher Education from the College of Saint Rose.
