John Macintyre has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several roles and organizations. Currently, they serve as a Director on the Board of the Tarion Warranty Corporation, where they chair the Tarion Investment Committee and is a member of the Governance and Regulatory Affairs Committee. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal at Cresa Toronto, leading the Strategic Real Estate practice and providing advisory services to landowners and clients interested in developing and optimizing their real estate assets. John's experience also includes serving as a Board Director for the Jays Care Foundation, where they chaired the Programs Committee, and as the Ontario Branch Governor for the Royal Life Saving Society, where they worked on strategic projects and governance matters. John has also been a Board Director and Vice Chair for the Midland Bay Landing Municipal Development Corporation, overseeing the development of a waterfront property. Additionally, John served as a Board Director and officer for the Governor General's Canadian Leadership Conference, a non-academic leadership program. John held various roles at Build Toronto, where they were Senior Vice-President and acted as President and CEO during the development of the Invest Toronto corporation. Prior to this, they were a Vice President at the Toronto Economic Development Corporation and served as the Director of Parks, Forestry, and Recreation for the City of Toronto. Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise and leadership in the real estate, development, and public sectors.
John Macintyre, B.A., C.Dir., H.R.C.C.C. has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from York University. John also holds a Chartered Director degree from McMaster University. In 2013, they obtained the HRCCC Designation--Human Resources and Compensation Committee Certification from McMaster University, specializing in Human Resources and Executive Compensation. John Macintyre is an Alumni of the Governor Generals Canadian Leadership Conference, having served as the Toronto Chair in 2008, the Ontario Chair in 2012, and as a Former Board Director and Officer. Additionally, they attended the Real Estate Executive Development Program at Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 2007.
