Mark Boomgaarden possesses extensive expertise in engineering and product development within the lighting industry. Currently serving as a Sr. Engineering Manager and Sr. System Architect in Advanced R&D at Cree Lighting, Mark has held significant leadership roles, including Director of Product Development and Innovation, and Systems Architect at Lighting Science Group Corporation. Previous experience includes the position of Vice President of Engineering at Evolution Energy & Light, Mechanical Design Engineer at Acuity Brands, and Field Engineer at Schlumberger. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
