Ryosuke (Rio) Yamawaki has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Ryosuke (Rio) is currently a Partner at Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as a General Partner at Kepple Africa Ventures starting from August 2018. Ryosuke (Rio) also worked as a Startup Advisor at JETRO - Japan External Trade Organization from August 2019.

In 2018, Ryosuke co-founded Crediation and held the position of Co-Founder. In 2017, they worked as an MBA Summer Intern at Industrial Growth Platform, Inc.

Ryosuke gained valuable experience at Mitsui & Co., Ltd., where they started as a Sales Representative in April 2012 and later became an Investment Officer from September 2013 to August 2016. In this role, they successfully led various investment and divestment deals totaling over $2 billion in multiple countries.

Ryosuke (Rio) started their career as a Sales Intern at Organic Solutions in August 2011 and later worked as an Administrative Attache at the Embassy of Japan in Botswana from March 2008 to March 2010 while serving under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

Ryosuke (Rio) Yamawaki's education history began in 2006 when they enrolled at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in African Studies. Ryosuke (Rio) successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2012.

In 2016, Ryosuke embarked on their professional development by joining the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. There, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree, which they successfully completed in 2018.

Additionally, Ryosuke obtained certifications in Machine Learning and Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python) from Coursera in January 2018.
