Arifusalam Shaikh, PhD, CSCP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Currently, they are an Associate Professor at University Canada West, starting in October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the CEO & Co-Founder of SkillsHawk, a start-up company offering intelligent skills traceability tools. Arifusalam held this position from December 2017 onwards.

Arifusalam also worked as the Employment Program Manager and Project Lead at the Association for New Canadians from October 2021 to October 2022 and July 2022 to October 2022, respectively. Additionally, they worked as a Per Course Instructor at Memorial University of Newfoundland from January 2020 to December 2021.

At Memorial University of Newfoundland, Arifusalam held various roles including Project Manager from August 2018 to June 2019 and Postdoctoral Fellow in Product Development and Commercialization from September 2017 to July 2018. Arifusalam further served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Faculty of Business Administration from March 2016 to March 2017, focusing on optimization in multimodal transportation of hazardous materials.

Arifusalam's academic career includes positions as an Assistant Professor at Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University from September 2010 to May 2016 and as a Lecturer at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals from September 1999 to September 2010. Arifusalam also worked as a Research Assistant at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals from September 1996 to August 1999, providing research support and conducting labs for undergraduate courses.

Throughout their career, Arifusalam has demonstrated expertise in areas such as supply chain management, operations management, project management, and optimization.

Arifusalam Shaikh, PhD, CSCP has a strong educational background in management science, industrial engineering, and production engineering. Arifusalam obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Management Science from the University of Kent, Kent Business School, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Industrial Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, attending from 1996 to 1998. Arifusalam'seducational journey began with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Production Engineering from Osmania University, which they completed from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their academic achievements, Arifusalam Shaikh has also obtained two additional certifications. Arifusalam completed the Teaching Skills Enhancement Program (TSEP) from the Centre for Innovation in Teaching and Learning at Memorial University of Newfoundland, St John's, Canada, in December 2016. Furthermore, they earned the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification, awarded by APICS, the premier professional association for supply chain and operations management, in September 2015.
