James C. Tong has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. James C. is currently working as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Metropolis since 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded Creator Nova in 2020. Before that, they worked as the Director of Business Operations, New Markets at Minted from 2019 to 2020. James also served as the Head of Strategy at Live Love Polish in 2018 and as a Senior Marketing Manager at Sun Basket from 2017 to 2018. James C. gained experience as a Senior Product Manager at Amazon in 2015. James worked as a Senior Analyst, Strategy and Business Development at Gap from 2011 to 2014, and as a Business Analyst at NetApp from 2009 to 2011. James C. started their career at Wells Fargo as a Product Management intern in 2008, and also had a Product Management internship at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. in 2007.

James C. Tong holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science Design Innovation (MSDI) from the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. James C. also completed an MBA program as an exchange student at the IESE Business School. Prior to these degrees, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
