Drew McDermitt has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Drew is currently working at CreativeOne as the Director of Business Development - Annuity Solutions since January 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Brighthouse Financial from March 2017 to January 2021, where they held the positions of Sales Development Specialist - Alternative Distribution and Senior Internal Wholesaler/ Team Lead. Before joining Brighthouse Financial, they worked at MetLife as an Internal Wholesaler from August 2013 to March 2017. Earlier in their career, from September 2009 to July 2013, they served as a Data Management Specialist at Spaugh Dameron Tenny, where they were responsible for managing and retaining company data and sensitive information. Drew also dealt with third-party vendors and ensured compliance with SEC retention guidelines. Drew began their career as a Broker Assistant / Marketing Assistant at Llewellyn Realtors from January 2004 to January 2008.

Drew McDermitt completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics from West Virginia University, where they studied from 2004 to 2009. In addition to their academic education, Drew has obtained several certifications in the financial industry. In March 2013, they received their Series 7 License as a General Securities Registered Representative from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. In September 2013, they acquired their Series 63 License in Uniform Securities Agent State Law. Continuing their certifications, in November 2013, they obtained the North Carolina Life and Health Insurance License from the North Carolina Department of Insurance. Later, in March 2018, Drew obtained the Series 26 - Investment company and variable products principle certification from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). Their most recent certification is the Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser, which they obtained in February 2022 from FINRA.
