BJ Gerjes has had a long and varied career in the marketing industry. Starting in 1995, they were a Visual Manager at Dillard's Inc. In 1997, they began their tenure at Creative Consumer Research, where they held the roles of CEO, Vice President of Business Development, Director of Client Services, and Director of Data Collections Operations. In 2014, they joined the American Marketing Association as a Volunteer Coordinator and Chair of the Marketing Edge AMA Houston. In 2016, they were the President Elect of AMA-Houston and in 2017, they were the President of the American Marketing Association. In 2018, they became the VP of Corporate & Institutional Engagement at AMA Houston and in 2019, they joined the PCC Leadership Advisory Team as a Leadership Advisor.

BJ Gerjes is currently attending the University of Houston.
