Kelli Jo Ford is a distinguished writer and educator with a robust background in literature and creative writing. As an awardee of the “Wild Futures: Art, Culture, Impact” award in Literature at Creative Capital since 2023, and a Literature Fellow at the National Endowment for the Arts from 2022, Ford continues to make significant contributions to the literary landscape. With experience as an author at Grove/Atlantic, Inc. since July 2020, and serving as a Faculty Mentor for the MFA in Creative Writing at the Institute of American Indian Arts, Ford engages closely with students to refine their creative craft. Additional roles include Donaldson Writer-in-Residence at William & Mary, Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, and National Artist Fellow in Literature at the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation. Ford also completed the prestigious Dobie Paisano Fellowship in 2012. Ford holds an MFA in Creative Writing from George Mason University and a BA in English from Loyola University New Orleans.
