Mary Ormond is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in real estate law and corporate governance. Currently serving as Chief Legal Counsel and Corporate Secretary at CreateTO since November 2015, Mary oversees legal matters related to the City's real estate portfolio. Prior to this role, Mary was a Commercial Leasing Lawyer at Ormond Law, providing legal services in commercial leasing. Additionally, Mary held the position of Vice President of Real Estate Portfolio Management at Cara Operations, where responsibilities included managing a vast network of restaurants across Canada. Earlier in career, Mary practiced as a legal counsel and partner at Goodman and Carr LLP. Mary holds a Master of Public Policy, Administration, and Law from York University, a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Western University.
