Lucy Aplin

Head of Programmatic at CRATE Media Group

Lucy Aplin has a diverse work experience in the field of programmatic advertising and digital marketing. Lucy most recently served as the Head of Programmatic at CRATE Media Group since October 2022. Prior to that, Lucy worked at Digitas UK as a Programmatic Director from June 2019 to July 2022, and as a Programmatic Activation Manager on a freelance basis from August 2018 to May 2019.

Before joining Digitas UK, Lucy worked as a Freelance professional from August 2014 to May 2019, where they collaborated with major agency holding groups such as Publicis Groupe, Havas Media Group, WPP, and Dentsu. During this time, they seamlessly integrated into teams and built relationships with clients, agency teams, and suppliers across various industries including Travel, Retail, Auto, FinTech, Telcos, Utilities, Non-Profit, and Gambling.

Lucy also gained experience as a Display Manager at Vizeum on a freelance basis from April 2018 to June 2018, as a Display & Programmatic Manager at 360i on a freelance basis from November 2017 to March 2018, and as a Publishing Director at Havas Media Group on a freelance basis from March 2017 to November 2017.

Additionally, Lucy worked as a Display & Audience Planning Manager on a freelance basis at iProspect from October 2015 to December 2016, and as a Digital Lead at TPL Media from November 2014 to September 2015. At TPL Media, they were responsible for driving the digital performance of the agency and managing projects related to platform analysis, reporting, tracking, fraud detection, and data/lead delivery.

Lucy started their career at Acxiom in 2010, where they held various positions including Senior Digital Performance Manager from July 2013 to July 2014, Senior Affiliate Manager from December 2012 to June 2013, and Affiliate Manager from November 2010 to November 2012. At Acxiom, they leveraged the power of data to provide new leads and insights for clients, supported sales staff, and implemented strategies for data capture and delivery.

Lucy Aplin attended Bournemouth University from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Professional Media Practice. Prior to that, they completed an Orientation Course at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, and they also earned an A Level in Media Studies, Film Studies, and ICT from South East Essex College. In terms of additional certifications, Lucy obtained various certifications from institutions such as Teads Academy, The Trade Desk, Google Digital Garage, and Adobe.
