Brock Mosovsky has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Senior Intern at Lockheed Martin, where they developed methods for extracting social networks from binary sensor data and improved the interface between cognitive modeling and natural language processing toolboxes. Brock later worked at the University of Colorado Boulder as a Research Assistant, where they developed new analytical and computational techniques for studying mixing and transport in dynamical systems. Brock also served as a Teaching Assistant, teaching recitation sections and coordinating a self-study workgroup for calculus students.
After their time at the University of Colorado Boulder, Brock joined Eindhoven University of Technology as a Fulbright Scholar. There, they led an international research project focused on developing new analytical and computational techniques for chaotic mixing and transport in fluid applications.
Following their studies, Brock joined Ascend Analytics as a Senior Energy Analyst and later became the Manager of Analytics. Brock played a key role in designing and implementing a market analysis report, which generated additional revenue through sales to multiple clients. Brock also supported the implementation and validation of a stochastic risk assessment and portfolio optimization model for NRG Energy.
Brock then joined Navigant Consulting as a Managing Consultant, where they developed computer models to analyze various energy-related issues, such as distributed solar and battery storage economics, utility rate design proposals, energy efficiency potential, and electric vehicle adoption. Brock also focused on improving client understanding of the analytical work product through data visualization and dashboarding.
Currently, Brock is a Co-Founder at cQuant.io. Brock initially served as the Director of Operations and Analytics before transitioning to the role of VP, Analytics. Brock leads teams of energy analysts, model developers, and consultants to deliver analytical solutions on the cQuant.io software-as-a-service platform.
Brock Mosovsky's education history begins at Emmaus High School, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. After high school, they attended Villanova University from 2002 to 2006, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Spanish Language and Literature. At Villanova, they continued their education, completing a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Mathematics from 2002 to 2007.
Following their time at Villanova, Brock pursued further education at the University of Colorado Boulder. From 2007 to 2013, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Mathematics.
