Pietro Bertazzi has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Pietro began their career as a Junior Consultant at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2007. Pietro later worked at Amnesty International Italia, where they held multiple positions, including Coordinator for Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights, and Coordinator for Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.

In 2009, Pietro joined Autogrill as a CSR Assistant before moving on to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). At GRI, they served as the Manager of Policy and Advocacy, Senior Manager of Policy and Government Affairs, Deputy Director of Policy and Global Affairs, and finally as the Head of Sustainable Development. Pietro'sresponsibilities at GRI included leading sustainable development programs, coordinating activities related to the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, and promoting transparency and sustainability in global supply chains.

Pietro's expertise in sustainability and policy engagement led him to CDP, where they worked as the Global Director of Policy Engagement. Pietro led the Policy Engagement Team on topics related to climate, water, and forests and managed a diverse and international team across ten countries.

Additionally, Pietro has contributed to various organizations and initiatives, such as the United Nations Global Compact, where they served as a Member of the Expert Network. Pietro is also a Vice Chair and Member of the Data Council at The Future of Sustainable Data Alliance (FoSDA) and a Member of the Board of Advisors at Earth Academy.

Recently, Pietro co-founded Connect-Italia, an organization focused on fostering connections and collaborations in Italy.

Throughout their career, Pietro has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability, policy engagement, and making a positive impact in various sectors.

Pietro Bertazzi has a diverse education history. Pietro obtained an undergraduate degree in Public Law from Luiss Guido Carli University from 2001 to 2005. Afterwards, they pursued a graduated degree in Law at the same university from 2006 to 2008, specializing in International Law. In 2008, they also completed a Master's degree in Non-profit organizations at Luiss Guido Carli University.

In 2009, Pietro Bertazzi further expanded their knowledge by completing a Master's degree in Management and Economy of the Environment and Energy at Università Bocconi. During the same year, they also pursued a Master's degree in Corporate Citizenship at Fondaca in Italia, Sant'Anna di Pisa in Italia, and Boston College in the USA.

To enhance their leadership skills, Pietro Bertazzi attended the Leadership Development Program (LDP)® at the Centre for Creative Leadership in 2015. Pietro then focused on acquiring knowledge in the field of Big Data and Sustainable Development by attending a program at the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) in collaboration with the MIT Media Lab in 2018.
