Ville Karaila has been working in the software engineering industry since 2003. Ville started their career at Nokia Siemens Networks as a Senior Software Engineer and then moved on to Senior Software Engineer, databases, and Specialist, system software. In 2007, they took on a Lead Developer role at Friendfinder Inc. and a Lead Developer, Operations role at Penthouse Media Group. In 2008, they were a Technology Specialist at Invisible IT. From 2009 to 2012, they were a Senior Specialist, System Software at Nokia. From 2015 to 2016, they were a SWE2 at Uber and a Solutions Architect at Volvo Cars. From 2016 to 2020, they were a Senior Data Scientist at Assign Professional Inc. and is currently a Senior Software Engineer at cPacket Networks.

Ville Karaila completed a MSc in Computer Science at Tampere University of Technology between 1995 and 1999. Prior to that, they graduated with a Laudatur in Arts and Science from Pirkkalan Yhteislukio between 1991 and 1994.
