Juan Gil Urbaneja is a highly experienced Geotechnical and Civil Works Senior Engineer at Abengoa since March 2014, where responsibilities include developing detailed engineering for international projects, focusing on structural and geotechnical designs for energy, wastewater, and desalination plants. Prior to this role, Juan held various positions at Abengoa, including Business Development Director and Proposal Manager for the USA, and Manager for Structural, Geotechnical, and Water Pipelines. Juan’s career also includes freelance structural engineering work, a supervisory role at Tharsis Engineer Firm, quality control responsibilities at SGS, and management of technical aspects for the Cadiz Subway project. Juan holds multiple degrees, including a Master’s in Civil Engineering from Universidad de Granada, and further extensive education in computer sciences and iOS development from Stanford University.
