Umer Adnan has a wealth of experience in the energy industry. UMER began their career in 2008 as the Founder/Owner of Solarize Inc., where they designed, developed, manufactured, marketed, and sold Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. UMER then moved on to Akhter Solar Limited as Team Leader for a Design Project (Mechatronics). In 2009, they became Design Engineer, R&D at KBK Electronics (Pvt.) Ltd., where they completed a full development life-cycle for a three phase energy meter with semi-AMR capabilities. In 2011, they joined Arizona State University as Co-President of the ASU Energy Club, attending the BERC Energy Symposium in 2012 and providing feedback to the engineering team about Solar PV design. In 2013, they co-founded E4 Technologies, where they were CEO, and in 2016 they spun out Cowlar, the Fitbit for cows. Umer is currently the President & CEO of Cowlar, helping dairy farmers make more money by optimizing operations, improving herd health, and boosting milk yield.
UMER ADNAN has a diverse educational background. UMER started their education at Bahria College in 1996-1998, followed by Army Burn Hall College where they completed their HSSC in Pre-Engineering in 2003-2005. UMER then attended National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and obtained their BE Mechatronics Engineering in 2005-2009. UMER ADNAN continued their studies at Arizona State University and obtained their M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2011-2013. In 2017, they attended Y Combinator.
