Lauren Helton is an experienced professional in the sales and coatings sector, currently serving as Director of Sales - Coatings at Covia since January 2021. Prior to this role, Lauren held various positions at the Sibelco Group and Unimin Corporation, where responsibilities included managing coatings and polymers sales, with a focus on product development and quality improvement. Lauren began a career in engineering with a role as a Mineral Process Engineer, overseeing quality control and lab processing. Additionally, Lauren gained valuable experience as a Temporary Summer Intern at Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., where responsibilities included analyzing sampling procedures and conducting presentations. Lauren holds a B.S. in Mining and Minerals Engineering from Virginia Tech.
