Merijn Linthorst is an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in indirect spend management across multiple sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Site Procurement at Covestro since April 2021, Linthorst oversees procurement for five sites in The Netherlands and leads a team of local buyers. Prior to Covestro, Linthorst held roles at DSM as a Lead Buyer, focusing on indirect spend for various sites in the Netherlands and Germany, and at Roche in various capacities, including Project Lead for Indirect Procurement in the EMEA region and Procurement Manager. Early career experience includes a Senior Tender Coordinator position at Utrecht University and a Researcher role at the University of Twente, where Linthorst also earned MSc degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management, as well as Chemical Technology.
