Jakob Marbach is an experienced Application Development Scientist at Covestro since August 2018, where responsibilities include leading the application development lab focused on PU metal sandwich panels and overseeing the R&D synthesis lab for polyester polyols, with expertise in recycling, renewable raw materials, flame retardancy, scale-up, process development, and IP management. Prior experience includes a role as a Student Research Assistant at Universität Hamburg, where investigations into spray drying processes on acoustically levitated single droplets were conducted. Educational qualifications encompass a Ph.D. in Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry and a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Hamburg, along with research associate roles at The University of British Columbia and the University of Tromsø, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Hamburg.
