João Franqueira has a long and diverse work experience. João began their career in 2007 as an HR Technician and Corporate Trainer at CHIP7. In 2010, they became Human Resources Director at Brinka - Enjoy Toys, where they hired more than 60 FTEs, improved onboarding and training methods, and created new training documents and a customer journey model. In 2011, they moved to AM-The Experience Group as an Industrial & Organizational Psychologist. In 2012, they became Human Resources Director at Prozis, where they lead 20 FTEs and helped the company grow from 85 to 1000 employees. Currently, they are the VP of People at Coverflex, where they are part of the Management Team and leads a team of 3. Since their arrival, the company has grown from 30 to almost 100 employees.

João Franqueira obtained a Licentiate degree in Work and Organizational Psychology from Universidade Lusíada do Porto between 2002 and 2006. In July 2006, they became a Certified Trainer. João then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Management and Development of Human Resources from Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto, which they completed between 2011 and 2013. João is also a Mentor at Pitch Bootcamp.
