Kala S. has extensive experience in health program management within various California state agencies. Currently, Kala serves as a Staff Services Manager I at Covered California since January 2020. Prior roles include Health Program Specialist at California Correctional Health Care Services from November 2017 to December 2019, and Staff Services Manager at the California Department of Child Support Services for nearly a year. Kala's career in health program specialization began at California Correctional Health Care Services in 2010 and includes a significant tenure at IMA Voluntary Donor Blood Bank in India as Chief Microbiologist from 1998 to 2002. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Microbiology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Sacred Heart College.
