Murray Becker, MD, PhD, FACR

Vice President Clinical Innovation at Covera Health

Murray Becker, MD, PhD, FACR has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Murray is currently working at Covera Health, where they hold the position of Vice President of Clinical Innovation since January 2020. Before that, from April 2019 to December 2019, they served as the Head of Clinical Innovation at the same company.

Dr. Becker's previous roles include being a Clinical Associate Professor at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School since July 2013. Prior to that, they served as a Clinical Assistant Professor from July 2008 to July 2013 and as a Clinical Instructor from July 1999 to June 2008 at the same institution.

Dr. Becker also worked at University Radiology, where they held the positions of Nuclear Radiologist from July 1999 onwards and President from July 2013 to June 2019.

In addition, Dr. Becker gained valuable experience at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where they served as a Fellow in Nuclear Medicine from July 1998 to June 1999 and as a Diagnostic Radiology Resident from July 1994 to June 1998.

Dr. Becker's career began as an Internal Medicine Intern at Lenox Hill Hospital from July 1993 to June 1994.

Murray Becker, MD, PhD, FACR has an extensive education history. Murray obtained their A.B. in Mathematics from the University of Chicago, graduating in 1985. Following this, they attended the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University from 1986 to 1993, earning their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. During the same period, they also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physiology and Biophysics from the Cornell University Graduate School.

In addition to their impressive education, Dr. Becker has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Murray became Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology in June 1998. Later, in November 1999, they obtained Board Certification in Nuclear Medicine from the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. Most recently, in May 2016, they achieved the distinction of becoming a Fellow of the American College of Radiology through the American College of Radiology institution.
