Jose Antonio Garcia Escandón is a seasoned professional in software engineering and technology leadership with extensive experience across various roles. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Cover Genius since February 2022 and as an Associate Professor at IE Business School, specializing in Operating Systems, Parallel Computing, and Database Architecture, Garcia Escandón has demonstrated a strong academic and practical foundation. Previously, as CEO and Founder of Tresgarfin, Garcia Escandón drove a 10X annual growth by innovating loan application products for small and medium-sized enterprises. Garcia Escandón also contributed significantly at Mercedes-Benz México as Innovation and Technology Lead, implementing agile project management and IT solutions that yielded substantial operational savings. Earlier roles include Tech Lead at Mutuo Financiera, where oversight of a developer team resulted in a historic funding round for Latin America, and experience as a software developer. Garcia Escandón holds a Master's in Business Analytics and Big Data from IE Business School, along with several degrees in Information Technology and Systems from Universidad Panamericana.
