Sarika Reed has a diverse and extensive work experience. Sarika began their career as a volunteer/mentor at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital in 2005 and later worked as a secretary at DR2KIDS from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, they served as an undergraduate researcher at the Biomechanics Research Center and also worked as a student research intern at Pfizer.

In 2011, Sarika took on a senior design project at UC San Diego's Silva Lab, where they focused on characterizing and optimizing the surface nanotopography of microelectrode arrays for implantable retinal and neural prostheses. Afterward, they joined the University of California, San Diego, where they held multiple roles, including programmer analyst, clinical trial coordinator, and staff research associate.

In 2015, Sarika joined NuVasive as a senior clinical data analyst. There, they were responsible for designing and maintaining case report forms and EDC systems, as well as managing databases and validation procedures for the SpineTRACK registry. Sarika continued their work at NuVasive until 2021.

From 2021 to 2023, Sarika worked at DePuy Synthes as a lead clinical data manager. Their responsibilities included overseeing data management activities throughout the study lifecycle, developing data management plans, designing case report forms, and coordinating database build and testing activities.

In 2023, Sarika transitioned to CovarsaDx, where they took on the role of principal data manager. Currently, they are employed at SMTR Data Solutions Inc. as the director of clinical data management.

Throughout their career, Sarika has gained extensive experience in clinical data management and has demonstrated expertise in various aspects of data management, including database design, maintenance, and validation.

Sarika Reed earned a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering: Biotechnology from UC San Diego, completing their education from 2008 to 2012.
