Thomas Gessner is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, structural engineering, civil engineering, and land surveying. As Chief Strategy Officer at Gessner Engineering since 2003, Thomas has led various strategic initiatives. In addition, Thomas serves as a Professor of the Practice at Texas A&M University, where responsibilities include teaching structural systems in an integrated design studio. With a background as a Level One Sommelier from The Court of Master Sommeliers and prior experience as a lecturer and project engineer, Thomas brings a diverse skill set to the academic and engineering fields. Thomas earned a degree from Texas A&M University between 1992 and 1997.
