James Roe serves as the VP, Deputy General Counsel, Head of U.S. Legal, and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Coupang, where responsibilities include leading the legal and strategic framework for a globally expanding corporation since April 2020. Prior to this role, James held significant positions at Walmart from 2012 to 2020, making substantial contributions to the company's legal division and developing a global ethics and investigations program. Previous experience includes serving as Senior Counsel at Tyson Foods, where management of litigation, intellectual property, and international trade took precedence, as well as roles at Williams & Hutchinson, Benton County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, and Platte and Cass County Missouri. James Roe earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas between 1999 and 2001.
