Joanie Nelson is a qualified Marriage and Family Therapist and an Affiliate Professor at Antioch University Santa Barbara since February 2020. With a background in clinical psychology, Joanie holds a Doctor's Degree from California Southern University, earned between January 2018 and April 2020, and a Master's degree from Antioch University Santa Barbara, completed in March 2013. In addition to academic roles, Joanie serves as a Clinical Supervisor at the Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse, leading a team of pre-licensed therapists with clinical group and triadic guidance since September 2019. Joanie's diverse experience demonstrates a strong commitment to mental health education and supervision.
