John Michael Longworth is an experienced professional with a diverse background in spiritual care, community engagement, and grant writing. Currently serving as a Grant Writer & Foundation Relations Specialist at the Committee on Temporary Shelter since January 2022, Longworth plays a key role in fundraising and building relationships with foundations. Concurrently, Longworth acts as a Community Chaplain for the Progressive Christian Alliance, offering spiritual care and emotional support. As a Professed Brother in the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans since July 2014, Longworth is committed to service, stewardship, and the Gospel. Previous roles include Spiritual Care Pastor at Release Faith Community, Coordinating Pastor at Faith on Foot, and Pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where significant community initiatives were led. Longworth also held operational leadership positions at Covenant to Care for Children and has a strong educational foundation with degrees in Theology and Political Science.
