Marcus Barnes, MBA, is a seasoned professional in the oil and gas industry with extensive experience in engineering roles, particularly in production, workover, and reservoir engineering across various shale formations, including the Marcellus and Utica Shales. Currently serving as a Senior Production Engineer at Coterra Energy since January 2018, Marcus has also held positions as District Engineer and has contributed to the industry through mentorship. Prior experiences include senior roles at Gulfport Energy Corporation and Matador Resources Company along with multiple engineering positions at Chesapeake Energy. Marcus holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from West Virginia University and advanced degrees in Business Administration and Finance from Waynesburg University and Penn State University, respectively, with ongoing studies for a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University.
