Andrea S. has worked in the software engineering field since 2012. Andrea began their career as a Qdot 2° Antibodies R&D Intern at Thermo Fisher Scientific (then: Life Technologies). Andrea then moved on to become a Genetics Teaching Assistant at Willamette University, where they developed skills in molecular biological techniques and improved their communication skills. In 2013, Andrea began working at Nelson Laboratories, Inc. as a Cleanroom Lab Analyst. Later that year, they joined bioMérieux as a Software Engineer and Research Associate. In 2021, Andrea became a Software Engineer at Splice, and currently serves as a Senior Software Engineer at Cosm.

Andrea S. attended Willamette University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Andrea then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Springfield. In November 2018, Andrea S. obtained a Front End Web Developer Nanodegree from Udacity.
