Ahmed Eltahawi has a wealth of experience in the field of data science and AI. Ahmed has worked in various roles since 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Teaching Assistant and Faculty at Computers & Informatics and a Research Associate and PhD Student and Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo. From 2014 to 2016, they were an Assistant Professor at Suez Canal University, an Adjunct Professor at The British University in Egypt (BUE), and an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Misr International University. In 2018, they were a Postdoctor Associate at Western University where they led the machine learning team and developed a supervised building energy consumption prediction technique using different machine learning algorithms. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Machine Learning Researcher at Hamilton Health Sciences, a Senior AI Innovation Engineer at Savormetrics, and a Senior Data Scientist at Cosm Medical.
Ahmed Eltahawi has an extensive educational background. Ahmed began their studies in 1997, earning a BSC and M from the Faculty of Computers & Informatics in the fields of Computers & Information Science and Computer Science, respectively. Ahmed then went on to earn a Master's degree from the Faculty of Computer and Information Science in Computer Science in 2007. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Machine Learning Application to Medical Images from the University of Waterloo in 2014.
