Irene Ng has a diverse and extensive work experience in the legal and telecommunications fields. Irene is currently the Director and Senior Counsel, Technology at Corus Entertainment, where they lead a team responsible for delivering technology-related legal services. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Advisor at Policy Impact Partners, focusing on connectivity and digital policy issues.

Before their role at Policy Impact Partners, Irene Ng took a research sabbatical at Law Schools in London and Toronto. Irene also worked as a Partner at Chooi Law LLP, specializing in intellectual property, information technology, media and telecommunications, and corporate law.

Irene Ng's career also includes a position as the Head of Asia at GSMA, where they played a key role in building the local public policy team and driving the strategic agenda for the mobile industry in the region. Irene held positions at Axiata Group, overseeing regulatory affairs in Southeast Asia and South Asia markets.

Additionally, Irene Ng was a board member at the International Telecommunications Society, an association of professionals in the information, communications, and technology sectors. Irene also worked as an Associate Director at Keystone Law Corporation, handling telco regulatory work and cross-border transactions.

Early in their career, Irene Ng was part of the pioneer team at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, where they worked on drafting regulations for the telecoms, broadcasting, and multimedia sectors.

Irene Ng has a LL.B (Hons) degree in Law and Politics & International Relations from Lancaster University. Irene also has a LL.M degree in Corporate & Commercial Law from Queen Mary University of London. Irene Ng is a Barrister-at-Law from The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and a Barrister and Solicitor from the Law Society of Ontario. Irene has additional certification in CIPP/US from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
