Merrill Biel serves as the Executive Medical Director at Cortexyme, Inc. since September 2021 and holds the position of Clinical Professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School, as well as a Physician role at the University of Minnesota since November 2008. Previously, Merrill Biel practiced as a Physician at Ear Nose and Throat SpecialtyCare of MN from September 1987 to June 2020. Additionally, Merrill Biel was the Chief Medical Officer at Rakuten Medical from May 2015 to June 2019 and founded Advanced Photodynamic Technologies, Inc., serving as its CEO from March 1995 to September 2009.
