D. Bruce Powell is an experienced emergency preparedness professional with a strong background in planning and executing emergency response initiatives. Currently serving as an Exercise Planner at DecisionPoint Corporation since October 2018, D. Bruce Powell provides technical support to the CDC's Division of Emergency Operation's Plans, Training, Exercise, and Evaluation Branch. Previously, D. Bruce Powell held the position of Emergency Preparedness Specialist - Sr. Staff at Leidos from September 2015 to September 2018, where responsibilities included leading a team to revise the CDC’s Occupant Emergency Program and planning numerous emergency response drills. Prior roles also include Strategic National Stockpile Planner for Cobb & Douglas Public Health and Director of Emergency Preparedness and Response at WellStar Health System, where D. Bruce Powell managed substantial budgets and operational responsibilities for emergency preparedness programs in Georgia's largest healthcare system.
