Derek Smith is an experienced professional in the energy sector with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as General Manager for the Eastern Hemisphere at Corrosion Resistant Alloys since September 2016, Derek oversees marketing, business development, and sales in the MENA and former Soviet Union regions. As Director of ALBA Energy Services DMCC, Derek provides consultancy services and high-end oilfield products. Previous roles include Sales Director at Pemco Supplies, where extensive travel facilitated relationship-building and new business development across multiple regions, and General Manager for the Caspian Region at Tenaris, responsible for managing major agreements and negotiations in the oil and gas industry. Derek's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from Robert Gordon University.
