Robert Argo has worked in the engineering and marine industry since 2006. Robert began their career as an Engine Cadet at Clyde Marine Training Ltd. Robert then worked at D.R.B Marine as a Marine Engineer/Deckhand in 2007. In 2008, they joined Silvers Marine as a Marine Engineer, conducting refits and maintenance on various vessels as well as fault finding problems with the systems. In 2010, they worked at RNLI as a Station Mechanic/Division Technician. In 2012, they worked at Cosalt Offshore as a Lifeboat Service Technician. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Scotrenewables Tidal Power Ltd as an Operations Engineer and Engineering Technician. In 2017, they became the Operations Manager at CorPower Ocean.

Robert Argo obtained an HND from Glasgow College of Nautical Studies in Mechanical Engineering from 2006 to 2007. Robert then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Open University, which they are still enrolled in. Robert also holds an SVQ level 2 and 3 in Marine Engineering (Mechanical Overhaul) from MI.
