Gareth Miller has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Gareth started their career at Barclays in 2002, where they held the position of Sales Manager, responsible for managing a team focused on originating corporate banking business. Gareth then moved on to become a Relationship Director in the Multinational Corporate Team, where they worked closely with large, FTSE 100 retail and wholesale clients, providing tailored banking solutions. In 2006, Gareth became the Head of Renewable Energy Project Finance at Barclays, leading a team focused on senior debt project finance transactions worth over €4bn in the UK, Irish, and European energy markets.
In 2013, Gareth joined the UK Government's Department of Energy & Climate Change as a Senior Analyst in the Commercial Team, providing investor insight and commercial advice on energy policy and reforms. Gareth then transitioned to Cornwall Energy, where they worked as a Senior Consultant, leading and developing energy projects and consulting practice. Gareth later became a Non-Executive Director at Cornwall Insight.
In 2014, Gareth joined TIME Investments as a Non-Executive Director for various companies under the TIME CTC, and also became a member of the TIME:ADVANCE Investment Advisory Committee.
Gareth's most recent role is as the Chief Executive Officer of Cornwall Insight since February 2017. Cornwall Insight is a leading provider of energy market intelligence and consultancy services in the UK, where Gareth oversees the company's operations and guides its strategic direction.
Gareth Miller began their education at Olchfa from 1989 to 1995, although the field of study is not specified. Gareth then took a gap year and was employed full time at Wesley College in Pukekohe, New Zealand from 1996 to 1997. Gareth went on to attend the University of Bath from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a 1st Class BSc Honours degree in Politics & Economics.
