Jacqueline van Hees

Medical Director Of Emergency Physicians at Cornwall Community Hospital

Jacqueline van Hees, MD, currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Queen's University since March 2021. Simultaneously, Jacqueline has held the position of Medical Director of Emergency Physicians at Cornwall Community Hospital since July 1991, overseeing the recruitment, retention, and scheduling of ER physicians. In addition, Jacqueline is a full-time Emergency Physician and previously served as the Chief of Emergency from 2001 to 2008, leading the successful amalgamation of two Cornwall ER sites in December 2006. Jacqueline holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Toronto and additional qualifications including a Fellowship from the College of Family Physicians of Canada in Emergency Medicine, a CCFP(EM) designation, and a Transform Certificate in Integrative Mindfulness from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Academic background includes an Honours BSc in Biochemistry from McGill University.
