Roy Petrie is a seasoned DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in managing deployment migrations, system architecture, and automation. Currently employed at Cornell University since November 2023, Roy previously held roles at Nedap Retail, Caesars Digital, Boyce Thompson Institute, and Navisite, where responsibilities included the management of containerized environments, AWS infrastructure support, and the development of automated operations. Roy's career began at Navisite, progressing from Systems Administrator to Software Engineer Associate, and ultimately to Systems Engineer, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical leadership and system compliance. An instructor at Original Okinawan Karate of Cortland from 2017 to 2018, Roy combines technical expertise with a commitment to education.
