Sofia Loayza is an experienced professional in news writing and student government communications, currently serving as a Staff News Writer for Cornell Daily Sun since September 2020. Previously, Sofia contributed as a Legal Volunteer at Parole Preparation Project from September 2020 to July 2023 and led campus initiatives as a Campus Lead with Voteology from August 2020 to October 2022. Additionally, Sofia held the position of Communication Director for the Office of Student Government Relations within the Cornell Student Assembly from September 2020 to August 2021. Sofia's educational background includes studies at Cornell University and attendance at NYSSSA's School of Orchestral Studies from 2018 to 2019.
